COACHES:

Coach Glenn has been coaching swim teams since 1967.  Locally, he has coached the Monte Sano, Lee High School, Chapman, Jones Valley, HSA, Decatur and Sharon Johnston swim teams.  He has also coached the Gadsden YMCA swim team, which were the 1978 State YMCA Summer Champions, and the University of Texas-Arlington swim team.  In 1979, Coach Glenn retired from swimming and decided to coach the Sharon Johnston swim team in 2004.

Coach Glenn is married to Kay Fears Carr and has one daughter, Bambi Dean, and two grandchildren, Carson and Katie Bell.

Assistant Coach Jenny Barrett is the Park Director at Sharon Johnston Park.  She is also a graduate of Auburn University.  Coach Jenny began coaching the Sharon Johnston swim team in 2009 after an exciting first year as the Head Coach for Buckhorn High School swim team in 2008.  As well as coaching Buckhorn and Sharon Johnston, she also coached the first ever, North Alabama High School Swim League.

Coach Jenny is married to Tim Barrett and has three beautiful daughters, Kelsey, Emerson and Isabella.
